FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
It’s very helpful to have a set of FAQ’s for most subjects. Locating your photographer can be a daunting task. Especially with so many things to think about, during the wedding build up. I receive emails from Brides and Grooms asking many different questions. So I have created a FAQ sheet, made of the most popular questions asked.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
I live in Buckingham, which is very handy to several counties Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. I mainly photograph in and around Milton Keynes and Northampton, but work across the whole of the UK.
WHAT PACKAGES DO YOU OFFER?
I keep my pricing structure simple. I am able to provide a Bespoke package to suit your budget and needs. I understand that every couple is unique, and may not need the same for their wedding day. Please take a look at my wedding photography pricing here
WE’VE FOUND PHOTOS ON INSTAGRAM, CAN WE TRY THEM OUT?
Sure, I love it when a couple have their own ideas, and look around online for inspiration. Having an image of what you’d like really helps me to see your vision. It helps you figure out what style you prefer too.
HOW DO WE VIEW OUR PHOTOS?
I provide an online gallery for you and your guests to view, and purchase prints. I always post a sneak peek to FaceBook as I know you’ll be excited to view your images as soon as possible.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I am fully insured with both public liability and public indemnity insurance.
WHAT IF YOUR CAMERA FAILS?
I always carry back up cameras. Each camera has a dual SD card slot, just in case one SD card fails. I also carry other back up equipment, as you can never be too sure what can happen.
HOW LONG UNTIL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
It usually takes around 14 days for me to edit your photographs. At the height of the wedding season-June to Sept it’s usually anytime up to 4 weeks.
DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU AT OUR WEDDING?
No, that’s not expected at all. If you are providing food for those suppliers attending the best part of your day, it could get expensive. I will say that it’s your choice, but don’t feel that you have to be obliged, or feel that it’s the right thing to do. The right thing is for whatever you feel. It’s a long day, and I will need to have refreshments and food. As long as I can purchase a snack at the venue, then that’s perfect. If you feel you would like to provide food, a soup or something light will be very much appreciated.
WHAT IF YOU’RE TAKEN UNWELL ON OUR BIG DAY?
If this should ever happen, I would call upon my circle of back up photographers. In the first instance, I would promote my 2nd photographer to main photographer. This would keep everything seamless, and without anything too noticable to yourselves.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
You can contact me via phone, email or Facebook messaging service. To confirm your booking a 35% deposit is required. I have dates fill up quickly in advance, Therefore, I am unable to ‘hold’ a date for you. A deposit secures your booking. I can receive a couple of potential enquiries around your date. If you have been first to contact then and have arranged a meeting, I will of course notify you if some calls to book by phone. It’s often
WHEN IS THE FINAL BALANCE DUE?
Payment is due 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. My invoicing system will send a reminder when necessary, just in case you forget. It’s a busy time and i understand that these things can go unnoticed very easily.
CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS OURSELVES?
If you purchase the digitals, a print release is provided to print whatever you choose. If you change or edit one of my images, without permission, this will classed as a copyright infringement. Please ask for permission. It may not always be granted, as it would depend on how the image would be affected.
DO YOU PROVIDE ALBUMS AND PRINTS?
Yes, I work very closely with award winning Album makers. They produce beautifully crafted handmade albums, prints and canvases. They are of the highest quality, and very hard to match. Each item is carefully checked and colour matched by hand.
