Northampton Wedding Photographer

I’m Sharon Lewis an experienced Award winning wedding photographer. I also photograph weddings in and around Milton Keynes

Your wedding day is one of the biggest, and most meaningful events that you will ever organise. It’s a personal, and intimate event. You deserve a Wedding Photographer whom you can trust. One who puts your vision, and dreams first. A photographer who will discuss the finer details, and spend time learning all about your day, and what is important to you. My style is to blend into the background, in an unobtrusive manner. I don’t take centre stage, as it’s all about you. I love capturing natural emotion, and laughter; not just of you as a couple, but your family, guests. There’ll be other’s tears, and laughter that you may miss.

My aim is to preserve your special day. You are making memories. When you look through your wedding photographs, my aim is for you to be transported back to your wedding day. I hope that my photographs will ingnite the emotion and feelings that you experienced on that day. Reliving those memorable times through my photos and wedding albums that I create, have reduced many of my Brides and Grooms to tears of joy. I’ve received many emails and calls from Couples expressing their sheer delight when viewing their final photographs.

What to expect from your Wedding Photography

If you should choose me as your photographer, I’d plan to work very closely with you. This will allow me to get a deeper knowledge of what you require from your photos. Your wedding photography is about you as a couple. It’s not about my ideals, but what you both want from your day.  I am of course there to provide guidance, and advice if you are in anyway unsure.

On your wedding day, my plan is to arrive at your venue around 30-40 mintes before you require my services. That way I have a chance to get my equipment set up and ready. There’ll be time for me to chat with wedding co-ordinator, Registrar or Vicar, just to ensure we are all in sync.

Before I make a bee-line for you, I’ll take a walk around the venue. This will allow last minute checks for the best areas to capture your couple and group photos.  As the day progresses, I’m there to help you too. I’ll fix of a button hole, straighten a tie. If you’re feeling nervous I’ll remind you to take a breath, don’t rush, and to smile when walking down the aisle. It’s all part of the service.

I’m very relaxed in my approach to wedding photography. I don’t stress about the day, as I’m confident in what I do. I’m very organised so that you can enjoy the day with your guests, rather than standing around waiting for pictures. The timeline can often be tight, so I like to have you ready for each part of the day if I can.

If you’re camera shy, or nervous, please don’t worry. I offer a pre wedding photo session.

All of my wedding packages include a pre-wedding consultation. This can also include a 30 minute photoshoot if required. On most occasions this takes place at your wedding venue. People, moments and places, are the things I like to photograph. Most of all I like to get to know people. Time given to the two of you at this stage, is very important. It’s very informal, and fun. Getting a feel for being in the spotlight can make a lot of difference on the day. My hope by the end of the meeting, is that you feel more comfortable around me, and in front of the camera.

During the meeting there’ll be time to cover any quesions, or uncertainties that you may have about your wedding day. You may have some Bride and Groom photographs, or ideas of your own that you’d  like to try out. If we are at the venue, then we can check out which areas might be suitable for various shots. Lighting, and natural sunlight are very important to acquiring a correctly exposed set of images. Checking the location for sun direction and shade will be helpful. Although I can easily do this on the day of the wedding. Many couples have said that the would advise a pre-wedding shoot, as it’s a great way to get used to the camera in time for your big day.
